I’m the creator of the Substack newsletter An Adventurous Life.

I lived abroad for years - mostly in Nepal, Italy, Germany, and the United Kingdom. I fell in love with the outdoors as a Peace Corps Volunteer in rural Nepal, where my first multi-day hike was over the Throng La Pass at 17,769 feet.

While in Italy, I got my master’s in international economics and strategic studies (the study of politics and the use of force in international relations).

I’ve been evacuated from a hike by the Icelandic Red Cross, surfed in New Hampshire in the winter, and in 2020 roadtripped 4,000 miles solo across the United States.
